Hi All, Not on the same page with my boss. I sent him a this picture and told him we needed to get it replaced and he doesn't feel like it needs to be replaced immediately.

    What do y'all think.

    As always, thanks in advance.

Looks legal. It does need to be replaced, but can wait until you get to the compant shop.

From eCFR — Code of Federal Regulations

    §393.75 Tires.
    (b) Any tire on the front wheels of a bus, truck, or truck tractor shall have a tread groove pattern depth of at least 4⁄32 of an inch when measured at any point on a major tread groove. The measurements shall not be made where tie bars, humps, or fillets are located.

    (c) Except as provided in paragraph (b) of this section, tires shall have a tread groove pattern depth of at least 2⁄32 of an inch when measured in a major tread groove. The measurement shall not be made where tie bars, humps or fillets are located.

Since you are at 0/32" when measured, the tire is not legal.

Either they replace the tire or maybe replace the boss. Not even close to legal.

    tifosi and 86scotty Thank this.
