Yeah I'm dreading the moment I get on the road. My numbers are new.

I've had my own authority since July 2013. Started with single car trailer and got into the 3 car thing in February 2014. Been running that way, with the same equipment since. Tks, PK

DOT surely target pickups, all the new guys don't know this and they all want to start out with a 3-car. Well, most will not survive and those who do will graduate to the big trucks.

Is there any real scientific study that proves pickups crash more than big trucks? I don't think so, DOT targets pickups because they are easy pickings that's all.

singlescrewshaker and Lite bug Thank this.

Inspection rates to out of service , I'm sure you can find the data if you want.

"Easy pickings" is exactly right though..., like intermodal trucks, garbage haulers and dump trucks

I used to work in the hotshot world, i know the garbage plaguing the industry. I'm not being mean they just aren't meant for that kinda use they fall apart way faster than a heavy duty vehicle.

I believe it depends on the individual. I have never had a out of service. I have 712,482 miles on my f350. Nor do I haul cars to much liability to low return just hauling 3 cars. All my stuff is expedited, all my stuff is light weight, and yes I am under 26’000lbs.
