You can’t transfer your insurance. What kind of world is this you live in. Insurance is not transferable. So some insurance company accepts you as a good driver and gives you rates, then they take on some guy that has a bad history with dui and accidents??? Yeah ok

 

Number 4 might have some merit. Not really the corporation but the BANK ACCOUNT..

 

Nope. I don’t know what bank he uses. But my bank would require his name to remain on it. You can’t just transfer ownership. You can add signatories or close it.

Now, if he’s got $$$ in it. I’d let him send it to mine

 

Maybe he wants the bank account for the money to be wired in. Still I would use my own. The people know me even by phone. You cant get better security.

Tho I am suspicious of the sale. They have only 4 posts and havent bothered to clarify any of the questions here.

 

If I wanted to run broker freight. Then I would disagree with most of the responces. Hell just need a trailer to start. Yes I would have to be added to the insurance. (Reguardless of ownershop the company is insured not the individual) come renew time take the op off. Yes I would have to be given authority to sign checks. Also remove the op's authority to do so. If a Corp the I would also make all the officers step down. Then replace them with my own people. He is selling a business and all its (few) assets. But i have no interest in running spot market broker freight.

 

If spot market freight paided like it did in the beginning of 2018 I would have know probably hauling it BUT it does not. The rates have dropped drastically and you are right Mover Man, nothin there now.
