Can't tell of it's the quads or the angle, but that tank looks like its 300 ft. long in that pic. Nice equipment for sure but that run graveyard then mid afternoon 2 days later stuff is garbage. There is no way to regulate your body clock in a day and a half. I'm a cranky SOB if I'm starting after the sun.

    mickimause Thanks this.

Yeah it looks half a mile long in that shot lol.
Those friggin cows! They get milked every 5 or 6 hours. To watch the dairy run is pretty amazing. I'm blessed that I only service one dairy and its modern and very nice and I have a big awning to work under. Most of the time our other guys are out in the open. The milk room is simple to operate, I only have 3 tanks I need to service. Plus a farm dog lives in the scale house and I get to play with her each time I cross the scale.
It really isnt a bad gig except for a some things, but I never have to deal with anyone. I do 2 loads, see the same people, and I go home.

The hardest is dealing with the dairies and the wait times. If ONE driver runs his mouth, the receivers take it out on everybody(except me, I bribe them with drinks)

The schedule was brutal at first and I almost quit. But a few weeks after i started on the second shift I was 'allowed' to choose my start times as long as it doesnt interfere with the driver before, so that helped out alot. Now I have a 3-4 hour difference in go to bed times with only 2 days being the hard ones and I've gotten used to how to handle them. I'm also lucky I only sleep 5 to 6 hours at most with a chane for a nap during the day

mickimause, AM14 and 91B20H8 Thank this.

Linehaul is a decent way to go, if you can handle the lifestyle.

Well then you're all set. It's a breeze, and you'll make way more money. Win/win.

If I were allowed to post on here I would congratulate you on your success.

    But I'm not, so I won't ;)
