UPT in OK are pretty good although they are starting to penny pinch... (pump no charge- not paid anymore for one!) must be to pay for the new decals appearing on everything.
However San Antonio is a completely different animal. The Terminal Manager is a power crazy, controlling, vindictive, and just down right mean, ##### called Bea Guerrero. Don't believe a word she says, she hates you, me and everybody else in the world, probably hates herself too!! But not Melody, the most incompetent dispatcher ever to walk the earth, No No No, she doesn't hate Melody!! She would've been fired years ago if they weren't in some kind of partnership (ugh, just threw up a little...)
So, good luck if you're going to OKC, but please steer clear of Bea's City (San Antonio, Corpus Christi, Austin)

all i know that they will be loosing lots of drivers, always concerned about safety and points,, when all their trailers are falling apart, most of their drivers get c.s.a point from their trailers so old!!!! and then the driver gets fired!!!! nice

UPT are bottom feeders. Since the "re-branding they have got worse and worse.

my husband and I were owner operators with upt and just to keep this short....Kenny lied every dang time he opened his mouth! and so did dispatch! when we are asked by others who to lease on with, we tell them upfront not to go with upt! they also took us for $2500 that we will never get.

Used to be a mechanic there.....Some trailers newer and decent but LOTS of old JUNK. Shop organization was non existent, nobody torqued wheels, nobody used a torque wrench to set up wheel bearings etc. One guy didnt even know how to use a dial indicator.

you guys think its so bad working at UPT. I moved out here to California working for coastal transport which is based in San Antonio Texas.

I see all the negative things about you UPT but there's a lot of negative things here about coastal transport as well we have junk trailers here just as well CSA points, the DOT to use always on our asse coming to the loading rack in San Diego

I have been with them 8 years, they have good and bad, just like every other company but some of the comments about them raising costs at the pump is ridiculous. I have been hauling fuel for 20 years and have worked for three companies, I never met the owner at the other two companies and have met Greg Price, the owner, several times. He knows me by name, I'm not saying they are perfect, no company is , but they are a great fit for me. I make more money than most road drivers, I go home every night, and I get 2 days off every week. That's what a lot of drivers strive for. The oil companies control the price and they tell us which rack to pull from, you want to discuss cut throat, look at some of the major gas station retailers, you will see cut throat competition.

Bump.... Thinking of going with upt here in Houston, anyone know the rates? Pct kenan is not hiring owners, you have other companies like Hayes n hayes, s&m, outlaw, Alexander, etc... Any owner ops in any of these fuel carriers? Which one should I go with?
