Is this offer C.R. England got out there for new drivers legit? They jumped on my application in 5 minuets and set me up for physical and permit test info. I’m not scared of work and don’t mind the year contract for the schooling just don’t want to get schooled starting out. If u was green like me where would u start in trucking knowing what u know now. The numbers they put out 53000 for a slacker and 88000 a year for top 5 percent driver sound good can expect that to be true after a year.

CR England? They’re definitely different. I’ve spoke to a few Trainees and former Drivers. I couldn’t believe the Training Literature they have to study while in Training, Lots of hoops to jump through, seemed more like a bunch of unpractical brain washing to me. Other former Drivers stories I’ve heard were also full of disappointments. All heresay, best You talk to former Drivers yourself. Sounds like they’re already being pushy, look some more, dig deeper, it may prove worthwhile in the long run.

Those numbers are very unrealistic. They’ll tell you anything to get you to sign that contract. My advice would be to look elsewhere. There are a lot of experienced drivers here who can offer some suggestions of better companies.

As a greenhorn, I would have stayed the hell away from Container work. Told off the suit man in Rockville Fuel and feed to wait a #### hour for his bulk load (I destroyed another company tractor with a impossible backing trap on his demands to move) and so on.

I would have gotten into Medicines strictly and leave off all the other failed companies that litter my lifetime of trucking. Dispose of the BS of live loading and live unloading and all the economic losses that come with that.

This is a interesting year. Some of my doctors are literally fixing some items that can be fixed in my body and it might be possible to reclaim the A CDL and get back into medicines again relatively soon. (As in a year or two at most) we will have to wait and see. IF I did do this, it will be supporting our western teams by drop hook in memphis and drop hook in our yard in Little Rock only 24/7 ELD limitations permitting and be very close to home so if something comes up that needs me there a hour or two, I can drop by. Maybe a occasional apple delivery from Yakima WA to the south and east of Georgia somewhere as a break from the dull routine.

Do not go there!!!! I made that mistake like an idiot cause i got my cdl thru them over 3years ago. They force you into team driving that you basically never get out of team driving youll make more money at mc donalds than them.at the time they had a 9month contract and they will pay for your cdl. It goes on ur DAC report your under a contract so if you try to leave no company will hire you.i got my cdl they gave me a grayhound bus ticket from Fl to SLC UT where i sat at the CRE term for 3 Weeks waiting on a trainer i gave up and walked down the street and got hired with swift. I can say swift isnt the greatest its a bare bones starter company but for me gave me everything i needed at the time i had no complaints

Every company can be a good fit for someone, but I really try to steer rookies away from CRST and CR England. They have SERIOUS reputations within the industry for taking advantage of drivers.

No company is going to back up the Brinks truck for a rookie driver. Just realize that going in. But you can at least get with a company that does what it says.

If you have to start in a school, pay for it yourself. Otherwise, you can get into a 'capture contract' with many companies. A friend of my family drove until he was forced out because he was too old to insure. When I was getting my CDL, he had one piece of advice: "Don't ever drive for C. R. England."

England rushes to be the first to call new driver wannabes because that’s the only way they can get them in is to pressure them into signing before they have time to research other options. That should tell you all you need to know. They may or may not be the worst starter option, but there are certainly many other better options, by any metric you care to look at or place emphasis on.
