I've heard the offices have shatter proof glass. Seems like a gun was fired inside a few years back.

England ain't nothing but a den of vipers. Their real goal is to extract money from you.
They do this by luring drivers to their terminals and having them sign a contract. This signed contract entitles them to collect money from Big Daddy Government. The same goes for CRST.
Here's what happened to me: I speak with a recruiter and tell them to check my driving records BEFORE I attend any training. The recruiter agrees. A few days pass and I get the go-ahead call to come to SLC. The first "smart" thing I do was drive myself there and not take a bus.
I arrive there and sign their contract and classes begin. The classroom instructor turns out to be an excellent instructor. I'm thinking I'm on the right track. During classes, a man comes in pushing England's now infamous truck lease ripoff. The man concluded his pitch with the words, "It's a good deal". I remember thinking later that if it's a good deal, then I don't have to be told it's a good deal because a "good deal" sells itself.
Next, my class moves onto yard training. Second or third day in, an instructor tells me to see my recruiter. Off to the recruiting office I go. I get there and check in. At this point I am told that due to a booboo on my driving record, I cannot proceed with my training. Taken aback, I demand to speak with my recruiter.
At this point, a different recruiter boldly lies to my face that MY recruiter is unable to speak to me because her voice has suddenly become hoarse.
Yeah. Sure. Right.
This is where I do the second "smart" thing, and go to the office where the original contract was kept and asked for it. So they gave it to me. No problem.
My exasperation subsiding, I decided to visit the corporate office to see if there was any possibility of employment at England outside of being a driver. The lovely corporate recruiter I saw was as helpful as she could be, but there was nothing available I qualified for.
Dejected, I walked to the parking lot and mingled with others who had just been thrown out. One guy in particular I recall was from Maine. I think this guy had the same issue had in that his driving record wasn't up to snuff, so England kicked him out. What's more is that these guys all came to SLC on buses with one-way tickets.
And this is STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE for CR England. Every day this despicable trucking outfit does this to prospective drivers. It didn't just happen to me.
Does this seem like a company that is going to pay you 55 to 80 thousand dollars per year?singlescrewshaker, Oxbow, LtlAnonymous and 2 others Thank this. -
What did that ugly looking guy in Star Wars say, oh yeah, "It's a trap!".
LtlAnonymous and Upinsmoke Thank this. -
Run.
Run fast, run far, run silent, run deep.
Anywhere is better than CRE. They’ve been the bottom of the barrel for at least as long as I’ve been a member of this little community.Oxbow, LtlAnonymous, D.Tibbitt and 2 others Thank this. -
Take a zero off both those numbers and is believe it ... There's guys out here with years of experience not making that kind of money let alone at England... Litterally any company even swift is better than cr englandUpinsmoke and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

Thanks guys man when I said greenhorn didn’t mean I was young but this is an eye opener. Been in industrial work all my life and was looking for a change but this makes me think my instincts were right. Too quick too fast I was actually on my phone applying and they called me right then. I have driven many types of heavy machinery so big wheeler doesn’t intimidate me just the crazy commuter s. Think I might call Swift instead aand see what they offer
Upinsmoke, D.Tibbitt, austinmike and 1 other person Thank this. -
Post your home state and major city, then people may be able to point you to something that could be better.
Maybe @Chinatown will have somethingUpinsmoke Thanks this. -
You know, someone with your skill set could easily alleviate much traffic congestion with a large front loader.
Pardon me. Coming through. Ooops. Sorry about. Yes, that is a big pickup truck you got there. Well, I'm sorry, but that's NOT going to buff out. Oh, wow. That was a new Mercedes, wasn't it?
Let's just put your sorry little Honda over here. Darn it! Looks like you won't be cutting off anyone else in that 328i anymore. And why do you have such big tires on that pickup? Are you overcompensating for something?
Looky here! Another one from British Columbia. And here's one from Alberta. Good grief! That rv was bigger than my first apartment. Too bad about that little boat you were pulling. Well, there's yet another Tesla that won't be going on autopilot anymore.
Anyhow, a trucker can dream, can't he? -
That's a dream? I'm all hot chicks and Lamborghinis...you're all Canadian dudes and a row boat.Upinsmoke Thanks this.
