If that's your attitude/ mentality just stick to pulling a box please.

Although I didnt see where it was stated but those overhangs listed are for "STINGER" trucks ONLY, NOT highmounts!!!

Depending on the state and how the officer is feeling today ... YMMV

Why is it different you ask ? When you pull a box hitting a low bridge is all you really have to worry about. Not in carhaul...
First you have to get your cars on the truck in one piece, but that's just the beginning :)
Assuming you done that now it's time to roll down the road with "FRAGILE" cargo sticking off your truck front/back and top. You will be over 13'6" a lot, but that doesn't matter cause the trees are not marked anyways :) So you better grow an extra eyeball that does nothing but looks "downrange"
for that and be ready to change lanes as needed and on a 3 lane road that could mean running all of them in a span of a mile...
You see the dealer ahead, great ! Now hopefully you called ahead and got some good directions on how to get in there cause if you "hit" the wrong driveway (like the one with the dip or hump) you just opened a whole can of worms. There will be times when "turning room" will be tight, so when you turn and "dip" at the same time you can easily wipe out some cars in the process. Your trailer is low, so humps are not your friend, nor are curbs for that matter :)
So you need a place to sleep at night, but you are 5 feet longer than most of your brethren, so truck stops are a good place to get "clipped" at night, so are rest areas... I don't go into rest areas at night or early morning anymore.
When we say that overhang laws are the least of your problems, these are some of the issues we mean...
So you still wanna haul cars ? :)

But it looks so easy when I see a carhauler going down the road! How hard could it be?

I did it years ago, inspect everything you load 8 times in pitch black well it's raining on a dark vehicle and tell me what the dealer finds the next day

I was joking, this is what I do for a fairly good living when I am not goofing off.

I made a good living doing flatbed, couple of ropes and maybe a domahicky and you can secure anything.

I really sucked at doing the inspections and worked nights delivering new cars

I got into carhauling to get away from nights. I start early but don’t do night work.
