Trucking Jobs in 30 seconds
Every month 400 people find a job with the help of TruckersReport.
-
But they’re doing the exact same job that you’re doing
-
Oh no Big Gov knows that everybody gets sleepy at the same exact time. You must obey, grasshopper!
-
That’s pretty much a thing of the past, but use to be a normal thing years ago.
-
Shows that Elogs are basically no better than paper for the most part..... other than the price $$$$$.

Is there a time limit for a non functioning eld to have to be repaired or replaced while running paper?
Has the DOT covered this?
I ask because we slip seat and have a people net unit oos for a month and they are telling management that it's a network problem or something to that effect.
Can you be ticketed if on insp they go back on your vehicle insp reports and see it has not functioned for that long? -
Maybe Big Gov feels that if anyone can’t get er done and make some money in 14 hours, they don’t belong behind the wheel of a big truck.
-
Yes. It's either 7 or 8 days. Somebody who knows or has time to look it up can narrow it down further.

8 days that company "must take actions to correct the malfunction "
395.34(d)
(d) Motor carrier requirements for repair, replacement, or service. (1) If a motor carrier receives or discovers information concerning the malfunction of an ELD, the motor carrier must take actions to correct the malfunction of the ELD within 8 days of discovery of the condition or a driver's notification to the motor carrier, whichever occurs first.

Pedigreed Bulldog and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
I’ve noticed over the years that most folk are allowing Big Gov to tell them every move they need to make. And I’m not talking just about trucking, I’m talking everything! It’s as if many would rather someone else make decisions for them, than make decisions on their own. People have become lazy, and in return Big Gov has slowly spread like a oil slick on water into every crevice of our lives. Every time you turn around there is a new law, a new allowance, a new “no no “ you can’t do that, a new regulation on what and how much your allowed. And very few have given it a thought, most feel that Big Gov is the great protector, when in fact it’s the big destroyer. People need to realize Big Gov is there to work for us in every way, but sadly Big Gov has turned it around, Big Gov is the ticks of this nation slowly sucking us dry. And it’s our fault.7-UP, Humblepie, Slowpoke KW and 2 others Thank this.
