Yeah, built on the backs of immigrants who came by way of the front door, not the backdoor.
What world are you living in? Yes, they (illegal immigrants) go to our emergency rooms and get FREE healthcare, they are not mexican/americans. What do you know about what happens in CA anyway?
What's with the mexican-american crap? Either they are American or they are Mexican. I don't call myself a Norwegian-American, I call myself an American.

Time to put the brakes on a little....

Being from the border area, I get a front row seat on what is going on. First, let's address racism. Yes there are racists. I always hear about the KKK.
It is as if everyone in the Rio Grande Valley thinks that all white people are members!
They 'see the speck in somone elses eye and not the log in their own.
Ever heard Of MECHA... Para la raza todo. para los otros nada! What this means is ... For the race everything. For the others nothing!
They want to create the Bronze Nation out of the Southwest U.S.
OH! You never heard of these folks because only white people are racists!
Let's not even get into La Raza and LUPE.
You see here is the problem in a nutshell. There is a saying by Hispanics from Mexico. Mi estomago es in los Estados Unidos. Pero mi corazon esta in Mexico.
My stomach is in the United States but my heart is in Mexico! Isn't that sweet?
They see everything in terms of race. I asked over 200 people in the Valley if they thought Hispanitcs or if they ( also Hispanic)would march and protest in support of Black Nigerians smuggled into the U.S. for cheap labor. Would they March in support of their staying in the U.S. if the Nigerians were illegal? They all said NO!
100%
I then asked "So if this illegal issue is about human and civil rights... then don't black people deserve civil and human rights?" They looked at me as though I was from Mars!
Make no mistake. The racism gose both ways.
Take some time and Google the Mexican Constitution. It is a racisit document. They allow no rights unless you are a "real Mexican".
On the border the politicians will not stand up and defend America when Mexican politicians call us a bunch of racists. But they will get on TV and cry about the border fence and call everyone else racists. Even though the United States admitts over 2 million immigrants each year from over 140 countries. People of different races and religions all can call America home. Can Mexico truthfully make that claim?
So here's what offends me...
If you want to live and work here be legal.
Learn the languege. Don't expect 300 million Americans to change for you!
If you stomach is in The U.S. but your heart is in Mexico Please take your stomach, your heart and your behind back to mexico! This is sacred ground. Paid for with the blood of Heroes and Patriots!
Show some respect! When our National Anthem Plays at an event stand up!
And don't try to change it!
If you have Mexican flag stickers on your car, put Old Glory there as well.
Stand up for the country that has provided you and your family with the oppurtunity for a better life.
misterG, Red Fox and mizdageeragn Thank this. -
Hispanic is not a race...it is a culture...although a few libs would make a statement to the contrary......
The Mexican Constitution is not "Racist", it just outlines laws that btw, the Mexican government is much more adept in its enforcement of immigration laws than our own.
IMHO...the illegal alien issue is 10% Mexico's fault and 90% the American government's fault (namely liberals like Pelosi, Reid, Baca, and Sanchez)...they want a new crop of undereducated voters to keep them in office in perpetuity. -
So true !!
You just said everything that I believe is most people's complaint in the US. We live in the country out of city limits and our kids go to a country school and are now being required to learn spanish.
Fine that is good but why do we have to make the changes when we were born and raised in the US. If US citizens flooded Mexico and were going over in drones would their gov't require their children to learn english and would they start printing everything also in english as well to make it easier on the US citizens????
I really doubt it and also feel they do not really appreciate the support they get from our gov't , they know how to work the system. Not to mention all the perks for home loans, car loans and business start up money because of their race.
My best friend of 35 years is Spanish and her family is from Monterey and she tells me all this mess. But she is legal and so is all their family. -
You have to be talking about another Mexico! Because it it ain"t nailed, cemented, welded, or chained IT"S GONE! Thats why those with the money build high walls with brock glass cemented on top all around their house. Forget nothing. The drug addiction rate in Mexico is astronomical! That's why their is so much crime.
Working Class Patriot Thanks this. -
How many more American jobs do we need to lose before Americans wake up?
-
You are half right and half wrong Yankee. I'm talking about the Mexico I live in. Just like the US, there is good and bad.
Some colonia's, the poorest, what you say is somewhat correct. However, just as in the US, the poor here have pride and look out for one another. But, as in the US, in the poor colonia's we do have gangs. There's not a helluva a lot of difference.
Again, the poorer the neighborhood, the more likely you are to see what you describe protecting their properties. In middle class to upper middle class, it is becoming increasingly optional. The glass on top of the walls, and the walls, are becoming increasingly rare. For instance, my home, we don't have the need for it.
You are correct about the rates of addiction here also. As the Mexican military, the Federales and American authorities put the hurt on the cartels, and disrupt their distribution routes, they are increasingly selling their product in country. There have been numerous articles written about this problem in US and Mexican newspapers.
This is my home in Monterrey and as you can see, we have no need for walls, fences and other barriersAttached Files:
