Repurposing the Driver's Lounge at truck stops?

That there’s women (maybe men too) that are being held against their will for unmentionable acts, I have no doubt. But I’m willing to bet that the situation is nowhere near the catastrophe that’s being pumped into us.

I know the rhetoric.. “Even one person held against his or her own will is catastrophic”. To which I agree.
But it’s not occurring on the enormous scale that we’re being told.

The entire campaign is just an intentional diversion to keep us distracted, diverted, and divided.

If you want to see real human trafficking, just look around at all the poor truck drivers at the next, average, truck stop:
Unbelieveable working conditions exist to include; Irregular hours (sometimes driving all night, then switch back right away to driving all day, then back to nights again; Living like an animal, even like a prisoner in a tiny box with no way out; Treated with complete disrespect and being forced into acts that are contrary to what the driver would really feel much more comfortable doing (sounding familiar yet?); Irregular bathing habits (and not by the driver’s choice); A terrible diet, against the driver’s will, and with little available choices that are full of fake sugars and processed ingredients; and so on.
And all the above while being paid slave wages (especially with all the large mega trucking companies) that pay way below minimum wage.
And most of these drivers have no other choice for work; they are forced to stay out of pure desperation and necessity.
That’s why they endure these conditions for years; some even die in the truck.

The conditions that I just listed are all classic definitions of human trafficking.
That, my friend, is the real story on human trafficking.

I agree with the first part of the post about the media being exaggerating the truth but every single person out here chose to get our license and be a trucker if you dont want to be a trucker anymore the turn ur keys in and find another line of work, this job to me is the closest to freedom u can get as a working man

During NFL, College FB and Basketball playoffs alot are full. I watched Cowboys vs Saints in Shreveport packed house crap talking and laughs , good times! I spent most the college FB season on the road and was able to watch alot of my teams game on the road . Hookem!

I agree with the above, a decent bar or parking would be nice in the lounge area.

Yes they’ve been doing it since trucks were invented. But I’m not OTR. Those poor guys need a good bar worse than me.

There were lots of places around the US where I was within walking distance from a nice place to eat. Many times I would go sit down and order a slice of cow and a baked tater enjoy a salad and chase it with a beer or two. It's fine to drink, just be responsible doing so.

A bunch of truck drivers and a bunch of booze = very bad mix. 5% will always be running off the other 95% with all their nonstop drunken BS. From what I’ve seen many truck drivers can’t handle their booze and become very ugly and run their mouth nonstop because they developed cabin fever and don’t know how to act in public when inebriated

The human trafficking these days is importing girls/women who live in massage parlors and dance in strip clubs. Massage parlors are using imported Asian women/girls. I don't know about strip clubs. I rarely see "lot lizards" in truck stops anymore. I suspect the anti-trafficking groups like to emphasize the kidnapped teenage American girls because those are the victims most likely to seem sympathetic to do-gooders.
