I was driving at night and there wasnt a clearance sign on the overpass. When i drove under it my trailor peeled back like a sardine can. I feel i will be fired but i was told to come in to get recertified to drive. Im nervous now.

That sucks. Got any pics?

most times, a driver IS fired for topping a trailer.
you need to find out what that so-called recertified process entails, like perhaps classroom and yard re-training all over again..??? -
They said to drive to make sure im good with driving.

A buddy of mine did that years ago in N.Y. They ran him around a couple of weeks before routing him back to Pensacola where they summarily fired him.
buddyd157 Thanks this. -

magoo68, x1Heavy, roshea and 1 other person Thank this. -
I guess you'll find out when you get there.
I know a guy who did the same thing. I think it was his first solo trip. They kept him and almost 10 years later he hasn't damaged anything else.
It depends on the company. Best advice is to own the mistake and to learn from it. -
If you were in Chicago, they're famous for not marking or not remarking after paving, the bridge heights.
Tombstone69 and buddyd157 Thank this. -
