Fabreeze works well. I've used it several times when I've been assigned a truck from a smoker. Wipe all solid surfaces, including windows and floors with alcohol. Then spray all surfaces hard and soft with fabreeze. The more you use, the better.
Are you leaving the HVAC on recirc all of the time? Don't do that. There is little reason to use recirc except for a few minutes here or there.Numb Thanks this. -
Ozium is what we used back in high school. It works darn good
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Buy a box of fabric softener sheets and spread them all over. Somehow they seem to absorb the bad smell
I did that to a loaner truck a while back. Guy that used to drive it was a smoker. Rancid, old cigarette smell plus your usual nastiness. After a couple of days it was much better. Not totally gone, but okay.
Also check for rain water sipping into storage under the bed. My KW has a serious issue on the side compartment doors not being completely waterproof.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
Good ideas. I especially agree with looking for moisture. Mildew is a #####.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.

Throw a match on it.
Dave_in_AZ and Lepton1 Thank this. -
Ozium
Lysol is for surfaces, not the air. -
Are you washing your bedding / sleeping bags?
Change both cabin filters too. If the cabin filters are nasty, the bedding is nasty, if the mattress is full of sweat and funk - fuhget about it.Lepton1 Thanks this. -

Febreze isn't always harmless, just saying, I have issues with too much of it.
