Don't lease on to any carrier that also operates company trucks. Period.

@kemosabi49 said it right. If you lease on to carrier with their own trucks you'll usually get the worst paying loads.
Think about it from their point of view...they need to run their trucks at a profit and they'll channel the best hauls to their own equipment.
It's a rotten system but it's usually the way things work. -
And after the company trucks are loaded, it goes to the best butt kissers next. And from what I could gather, some use their tongue or finger or something while kissing because I could never compete.

My personal opinion: If you're wanting to go O/O then getting involved with a Mega Carrier is kind of defying the whole reason for being a O/O.
If you have to lease on for financial reasons, I'd really do a lot of research but look for a smaller company if you can. The little guys can always use an extra truck if they have the freight.chimbotano Thanks this.
