The only thing I like about the tablet is that it’s not attached to the truck. I don’t like the messaging setup on it at all, the fact that it runs on at&t means that I lose signal all the time, the battery only last about 16 hours, and it still has problems where it wont let you update your nat/eta because it gets confused on what time it is just like the Qualcomm. So far I am not impressed
IC’s are getting tablets.

Wasnt that when all their trailer locations got deleted?
-
Not deleted, just not accessible/useable.
The old system used different customer codes. The software that was written to translate the data didn't work. They still had the data backups, but there wasn't a quick fix to the data transfer software. Even if it only took one day to fix/rewrite, the data is now 24 hours old, thus useless as at least 1/3 of the trailers are now in new locations. Incorrect data is almost as no data, thus the giant cluster for a few months.scythe08 Thanks this. -
They should just put a chip in the forehead of all the ic’s , for complete control.
-
It failed in beta testing - not enough brain activity to keep the chip powered.

But we have other skills.....

It (QC, ELD's, etc...) shouldn't cost the I/C anything! Federal leasing regs PROHIBIT making the purchase of ANY product or service from or through the carrier a requirement of entering into the lease. If it is something the carrier requires, then the carrier should provide it. If there is a charge, the I/C better have the option of getting it on his own, separate from the carrier...but that means the I/C would control the carrier's access to his system and we all know that won't fly.Cat sdp Thanks this.

So biggest question, are you not allowed to book loads thru your phone anymore? Only the tablet?
-
You can still use your phone. The tablet is for the info for workflow.
Corso1504 Thanks this.
