No ma buddy..Thats called a good fart after beer n hot wings..

Is a general lee setup to run a 4 watt carrier and 20 watt pep on low power setting still considered an fcc illegal radio? Just asking, not trying to start ww3.
-
Not sure if thats fcc legal but still barefoot...Your not startin ww3 but ya are splitin arse hairs..
I wouldnt wanna be doin that after beer n hot wings either.. -
Splitting hairs intentionally, trying to illustrate how laughable fcc regulations are, as if they dont have bigger things to worry about without being concerned about Billy Big Rigger running more than 4 watts, that should get a response from the Ham's.mike5511 Thanks this.

Oh noooo..yer lookin for war on that comment
wolverine11 Thanks this. -
I just feel that 4 watts for cb radio is so 1970 and outdated, most drivers , and cb base stations, are either going to use illegal radios or illegal amps, or both, it really isnt enforced unless it interferes with emergency or government radio communications.mike5511 Thanks this.

Hell there is a fella on the 80 i think in western ill or in iowa..Constantly broadcasts a radio show from some talk show host on tv or radio...
-
Not me. I've never talked to the Moon before and I don't use amplifiers currently. I had to sell them to pay my divorce attorney. Most of the time how far I transmit is determined by the ability of the person at the receiving end to detect weak signals. The greater their ability the further I will transmit.Last edited: Mar 24, 2019

The power output is legal but the radio itself is not legal for the purpose you intend to use it for. Quite often turning the power down on these radios turns them into more of a splatter box than they were with the power wide open.
