Portable tire inflators?

    i like the concept of the Milwaukee M12 inflator, it can be set to a certain psi, then it can be left and it will fill until there. I would like this option, especially during season changes to add back those extra 5-10 psi or vice versa. The Milwaukee one says it can go to 120psi. I’ve watched YouTube videos, seems like it takes about 5-10 min to put out 35psi to fill a car tire from flat to full. But I wonder how it will handle taking steers from 100 to 110.

    Any body using a portable inflator? I saw yhose haldec’s those are nice but $700+ ... the Milwaukee is $69 plus batteries and charger. To bad they don’t have a m18 version, then I’d have batteries already. I know it’s not that complicated to fill up tires to the right psi, but I would like to do this at home from time to time. Even my little 12g air compressor or I forget the size, can’t push the air in the tire over 100. Any experience?

    Lol Yeah... I wonder if they sell an adapter chuck, that can be put on a gladhand tire inflator hose, like a digital one that can be set to shut off a certain psi.

    I have no real problem filling up, checking, filling up, checking, release some, etc.

    But something like that would be nice!

    Come to think of it, I think southern tire mart has those attached to the air chucks. They set the psi and it stops dead on.

    I have a southern tire mart in town, I’ll have to ask them

    The governor kicks off the compressor anyway. I hook up the air, to the tire, and let it build up, watching gauge. Maybe even pump it down to kick in compressor until it kicks off again. Tires will always be around 105-110. Can’t over inflate. Even though gauge shows 125, Don’t know where the other 15-20 lbs goes Lol

    max listed was 120psi. These are not designed for tires the size we have on trucks. You would burn this up possibly after just a few tires, and it is going to take quite a long time to boost just one tire by 10psi. I have a 150psi compressor that runs on 120v and it takes quite a while to top off just one tire. Yo. u're really better off to save your money. The cheaper alternative is one of those hoses that hooks to your trailer air line and you will get a max pressure whatever your truck puts out. Even then you don't get much volume, and the pressure has to be maxed out in order to get a tire up to 110 or whatever you run them at.

    If you leave it long enough, you can eventually get system pressure (120 psi) into a tire, but it can take hours. It gets way slow after around 100 psi.

    The gladhand hose adapter works for emergencies but after a certain psi it’s horribly slow. I just keep track of truck stops that have the best air chucks.

    I have the Milwaukee inflator at home. It’s too slow and gets hot and will not be very efficient.
