Since you didn't receive a proper inspection paper, your speeding ticket and other charge can be handled in a regular court. This is to your advantage.
Consult an attorney. There's always a chance this cop hasn't filed a charging document. If he hasn't, you walk.

That kind of speed could cause you to lose your job. You have to notify the company within the time prescribed in their policy usually 24-72 hrs or they will fire you for not reporting in the amount of time prescribed in their policy. Also yes a lawyer could save your job by reducing the ticket speed 5-10mph over vs 10-15mph over. Also your company could have a policy on the max speed a truck under their authority can drive.

TakinitEasy...you confirm pretty much what I thought. I already decided Im going to tell them pronto because I need to get my mind as clear of this as possible, as soon as possible.

Probably good advice but mentally I'm not sure I could handle an adjournment. I don't get much peace of mind even without something like this hanging over me. I'm gonna have to do what the lawyer says though.

I don't mind the lecture if it gets me out of a ticket. If you're going to write the ticket, I don't care to listen to you lecture me. Lecture me and then try handing me a ticket, and my attitude changes rather quickly.

Where at in Texas? I know a great traffic attorney around DFW. We have some odd laws here related to CDL. For example- If you are ticketed in a large municipality the law states you can’t take deferred or driver’s safety to cancel the ticket, but if it was a small town you can pull the ticket into the higher regional courts where the judges have more discretion.
DenBob Thanks this. -
I would definitely get a lawyer or contact one, maybe Roadlaw.net.
As far as your company, probably be better if you told them right away rather than them finding out later that you didn't. Let them know your are going to fight the tickets though.DenBob Thanks this. -
I sent you a message...thanks

I don't know Texas but I do know a little about Virginia rules.
You can show up to court with a good MVR in hope for a reduced ticket.
You can challenge the speeding ticket in asking if the radar was calbrated that day.
The lane change is subject as if no accident was caused how can it be considered improper.Tombstone69 and DenBob Thank this. -
Consult an attorney licensed to practice law in Texas. Inform your company of the tickets asap. Get a PSP report - This shows all of your DOT Inspections for the last 3 years.
