My hire date was 12/23/2007. I got my truck on 1/18/2008. I switched to 7/7 sometime around October, I believe.

There are days I'm so irate I don't even want to see the truck, but overall I know it could be a lot worse. I have a friend who told me her bro-in-law with Werner has been sitting 2 or 3 days now. Overall, it's good enough here to not bad-mouth them--too much. ;)

I've actually grabbed a hotel before because I was so upset I didn't want to see the truck. The hot tub did wonders for my neck.

Do you have to go on the route they give you? And Can you only get the amount of fuel that they say? Just curious.

Ultimately, I drive the route I decide is best. I'm supposed to follow their routing, but I tend to find some routes more practical than its route. Needless to say, I was never going to drop down to Denver and come back up to I-80, but would've taken I-70 across if I felt it was safe enough.

Anyways, I relayed the load to another driver who's never been over the mountains, when Wyoming is supposed to be getting a bunch of Snow and I have no idea what the mountains over there are doing. I doubt even he'll be able to make the load on time, now. I have the pleasure of going down to Pueblo then back up east of Denver. I'm in Big Springs, NE right now and they've specifically requested that I do the two drops in that order. They're footing the bill, so I'll just go along with it.

70 west of Denver can get hairy in the wintertime. My company doesn't give us chains, we have to pick them up and return them at chain banks. We have no chain banks in Denver, so if they throw up the mandatory chain laws on 70, and they often do, we got a choice, either go up and hit 80, drop down and hit 40, or wait it out. If I go an alternate route, I make sure they pay me for it.
