I'm headed to Klamath Falls, OR from back east.
I'm considering I-80 to Winnemucca, NV then Hwy 95N to Hwy 140W. What's Hwy 140 like betwen Lakeview, OR & Klamath Falls?
I'd rather not take I-80 in CA and Then I-5N.
I'm 78-79k lbs
Nashville to Klamath Falls.
Thanks.
Klamath Falls, OR Hwy 140 EAST toward Lakeview, OR?

It's interesting. Possibly a scenic pull across the state forest in between. Nothing jumps out at me as Horsecamp Hill did on US 33.

Oregon has 2 traffic cameras on the route. It just looks to be a generic 2 lane road.x1Heavy Thanks this.

A section of 140 over Big Mountain Pass is not a truck route.

That's east of salt lake. I80 takes care of that well enough through Park City I think.

I did. I see a generic grades on a two lane road in the region of Bonanza Jct Oregon.
Google insists highway 65 UTAH is where Big Mountain Pass.
What can we do to solve this? Im thinking it's possible 140 might be too small for a tractor trailer in places perhaps. But again nothing jumps out.tscottme Thanks this. -

If your company doesn't have an account in Oregon, you need a weight distance trip permit similar to New York.
Oregon Department of Transportation : Vehicle Trip Permits : Oregon Driver & Motor Vehicle Services : State of Oregon
