How fast will they jump on you if you go through the center of Atlanta?

They will pull ya out of the truck and beat the tar out of you with their maglites.

 

I've done it, but we had a drop yd close to town, I was told you must have paper work to show why your off 285 going thru on 75 if stopped, I've also gambled and went 75 thru with no incedent. Never did here from anyone what the fine would be

 

I've seen guys get popped downtown. . . regardless its a risk that I personally WOULD take if I was from out of town, knowing what I know as a local. . .thats just me you gotta know how to move goin up through there

 

4 years ago it was 275$ an 2 pt. on CDL now it may be more??

From what I remember, you may get away with it a few times. You may get stopped by a cop at random, or sometimes they set up for it inside the loop and pick off truckers as they enter the loop.

I think the fine went up. A lot.

I just stay on 285. It sucks, but....

 

I ran up and down the 75 quite a few times not knowing that I wasn't allowed to do so... then I realized and went one more time anyways and this time I saw 2 trucks pulled over.

Needless to say I was ####ting bricks until I got past the loop. haven't done it again and to be honest.. its far more convenient just taking the loops because when its traffic its traffic everywhere.

 

It's only illegal if you get caught!

 

Why would you even want to drive through atlanta?

 

Better question: if a driver has doubts, why does he come on here seeking validation for something he may get a ticket for?
