I have the basic paper work jb hunt will not release the final paper work I believe they never spent a dime of the deductables they only pocketed the money I use to hold JB Hunt in the highest of reguards but after leasing with them they are just as crooked as the next mega carrier you are nothing more than a number and when you stand up for your self and call them on their mistakes they are quick to say everything is your fault but as long as you let them run over you and make you loose money while they make money you wont have any problems
Needing help please

Besides I never said I didn't keep any paperwork I never got the paper work from the adjusters or anything showing where my money went cause they would not give it to me even tho I paid for the insurance and paid the deductables on each which should by law entitle me to all the paperwork not just what a cop hands me

i would suggest joining OOIDA right now, takes a few minutes online, with your credit or debit card.
once this is done, call them (they will need your membership number), tell them that you need an attorney hopefully not too far from you, for this situation. then, stay a member of OOIDA until the day you retire, or beyond.
they will be your best bet for attorney referrals, heck, they even have attorneys on staff that can at least advise you of what to do. those guys helped me at least a couple of times, i am an an ordinary driver, not an o/o or L/O -
While there's no federal laws, there are state laws concerning access to your personnel records. Luckily I live in a state with strong labor laws & the company has to give me access to my file.

Everybody seems to be forgetting he was a lease operator, not an employee
-
If he is a lease operator with his own truck (NOT a lease purchase operator) this puts everything in a different category.
His personal records are not accessible because there is no need for them, they are part of the carriers, the records of the lease holder are accessible through the contract. If you get into an accident, they have to abide by the contract in applying any deductions to the settlement, if it is not defined in the contract, then it is their problem.
If it hasn't hit the Dac report, then don't worry about it and move on.
The things I hate to bring up is that people who lease onto a carrier for work or get a lease purchase are not too smart if they don't get a lawyer to look at the contract and tell them what it all means and what their responsibilities are. These carriers have their lawyers draw them up to protect the carrier, the contractor or lease holder needs to take a proactive step to limit their future problems with the carrier by taking the same approach to protect themselves. Many times too many of these owners/lease purchase people are too cheap to spend the $200 to $700 to get a lawyer involved to protect them and they lose more money when they get screwed by the carrier.Trucker1808 and Lonesome Thank this. -
How do you check your dac?

The link tells you how to do that.Lonesome Thanks this. -
JB Hunt are trucking pimps. Nothing more. They will use you. Company trucks are protected, and get good loads. Contractors and lease purchase guys get the scraps. I've talked to multiple lease purchase guys over the years who were losing their rears. Lease purchase deals are for suckers. Period. Lease purchase deals with JB Hunt are for world champion suckers.
