Protecting Hydrolic and Air Connectors during winter

You can buy another set of couplers and just plug the ends. Will keep them nice and clean and easy to store

 

Spray them with something that’s a light oil, get a set of them yellow rubber kitchen gloves cut the fingers off n put them over the fittings tight like a condom.
I would not use wd40 for that. Maybe soak in blaster tho.

 

quarter turn taps between the line and quick-connect will stop leakage and PB Blaster as a spray about once a week when the neck is off is what I used. I carried a complete set of replacement fittings wrapped in oiled cloth in a plastic sandwich box in a small toolbox in the neck. There was a male and female light plug with dielectric grease protecting the ends and small screwdriver in that box along with hose ferrules and repair unions.

 

Well don't just stick an open fitting in there. Plug the other end of it so when you hook it up nothing comes out.

 

I would put some grease on the hydraulic couplers and not worry.

 

Get a tennis ball, cut a X in, wiggle over female coupler, done
Been doing this for years, works keeping dirt out , an like me, cheap and easy

 

Don’t know about electrical, just keep it clean and lots of Dielectric grease, never been a problem.
