I really need to get started on this truck. I have owned it for awhile, but my son was born soon after, and my wife tells me diapers before chrome!!
1957 Peterbilt, 312" wheelbase, it will have a 400 big cam, and a 13+4 Tranny, and 4.33 rears. might swap out the rears for taller.
This will be a daily driver, want the interior close to original, with the acception of booting for a 48" flattop.
57 pete. need to get started on

There are a lot of different ways to take this truck in styling, but if you spruce it up as is (over all styling) that would make grin from ear to ear if I saw it going down the highway.

Cool truck, I used to see one all the time that looked a lot like yours out in California back around 92-93. He hauled big boats with it, saw him going down the road a bunch of times way back when. You guys haul cathodes? I used to live in Tucson and hauled a bunch of that copper. I spent a lot of time in Morenci at the mine when I worked for S.K.I. in the early 80's

This truck was out of Phelan, CA I dont know what he hauled, other than a flatbed.
I have hauled copper out of here a little, but now I am actually working for the mine as a power plant operator.(at least til I can get back in a truck.) and hopefully it will be this one.
Heres when it was in california:

Man, that rig is just cryin' for some serious interior custom paintwork, tuck and roll, maybe machine turn the dash panels and stuff. I'd want the upholstry to get the noise down too. A bigger sleeper would be ticket, but I can understand the original concept being kept if you don't go OTR with it.
