FCC--Fremont Contract Carriers

Thanks, enjoyed a quick trip to Florida to spend Easter with two of our seven grandkids.

 

Delivered in Missouri this morning, bounced to KCMO and picked up a load off the drop yard coming up to Omaha. Currently at the Council Bluffs yard getting an overdue service. Picking up a load tomorrow out of Omaha going to Bensalem, Pa. for a Monday morning delivery. Once empty in Pa. I will reload near Philly coming back to Omaha.

Taking the detour around the I29 closure today, I watched a tanker driver pulling a hazmat load almost cause two wrecks, being impatient and passing trucks needlessly. The second time he ran a four wheeler off onto the shoulder and made the oncoming dump truck take evasive action. Three miles later he was stopped two trucks in front of me, so risking people’s safety was worth that? I hate having to take these detours too, but I’m not going to drive like an imbecile and put people at risk.

 

Not yesterday, I have run that way before though.

 

So I thought my reload was near Philly, but it was actually closer to State college. Drop and hook In and out in about 30 minutes. I will drop this Wednesday morning in Omaha, and then my truck has to go into Freightliner for two days. My 500k mile warranty is about to run out, so they have to check the truck out, and fix any issues, run an overhead, and I’m going to have them replace the torsional damper.
