Well shoot, If everybody listened to everybody on here,there would never be any new OO's , by the time you got enoughmoney saved, who the heck would want a truck once they had all that money. lol

Buying a truck.

 

Trucks have always treated me right, I don't think I would have liked being a company driver much, probably would have done something different.

Seem like you can do well if you buy a truck that's California compliant.
I was a company driver, but hauled lots of produce loads out of South Florida. The company I worked for used CH Robinson for perishable loads in and out of Florida.
CH Robinson gets some bad press from some owner-operators, but the company I drove for preferred them because they kept the trucks moving all the time and paid on time.

Well if you want something constructive, don't listen to this bs.

I don't know what bugs they are talking about but O/O and fleet use of trucks are two different and distinct things.

Another bit of advice ... you are under funded.

Don't count on credit cards.

 

You don't have enough money. I wouldn't even think about it without $50k after truck has been purchased and plated and insured with a emissions truck. $25k with an 03 and older truck that had new tires, brakes and overhauled by the manufacturer.

You can wipe your ### with the warranty they are going to sell you.
