They tried to shag me, I said unproductive and I’ll take a direct route to home. It took them a minute but they are sending me home. I don’t know if it’s the road or missing a life but I think I’m going to detail the truck when home then deliver it. Over 100K saved (no debt) with a brand new car paid in cash. I need a break. I’m worn out. Chasing the miles, missing life... the works. Only drivers would understand what I’m saying. The money will always be here but life will pass you by.truckerman75103 and tucker Thank this. -
Definitely I understand where your coming from i used to stay out 3-4 months at a time I’m out 4 weeks most of the time sometimes only 3

Most likely I’ll come back to Crete.
I wouldn’t say there a bad company because there not. It’s the overall road which takes you over. Lost the GF over this stint on the road. And she was the most faithful, honest, nice girl anyone would dream of. Lost too much.... the road makes me sad now. -
I just need an extended 3/4 month break. -
Being away from home and OTR running short loads is tough to do. When I was there most the days consisted of getting unloaded and then reloaded. It seemed like maybe once every 2 weeks I would go a whole day of just driving and not being at a customer.
I'm local now and way healthier. The pay is about the same plus I cook my food now instead of spending a fortune eating out.
I don't regret being OTR, I had a great time. But not being OTR is great too.
Right now I'm having this built.
iraqralph43, majestyk, Dna Mach and 5 others Thank this. -
I’m a mess, nothing to come home to. Not sure what to do but she crossed the line. I feel like she was my gas peddle to my truck. Ya, I didn’t come home much but we had a goal. I concurred that goal. Do I continue? Do I put the breaks on?
I don’t know what to do. Lost in my lil red truck. Any advice would help. Thank You. -
