You can keep driving once you empty if the Customer has no place to park for your 10 hour break. You use Personal Conveyance that a law that changed you can even be loaded. They had to give driver a solution to the problem of customer say we can park on their property but the 14 hour says we can't drive. Just so you now for next time anyways, if you run out of hour at customer. You keep driving uner Personal Conveyance to fisrt safe place to parked. Put that on you log also so they know why your going over the 14 hour limit.
I'm about to run out of 14-hour clock at receiver ,Bobtail outta here ?

Like I read in the other comments, you can go over your 14 while on duty, you just can't drive. If you put it into PC (personal conveyance) and would happen to get pulled over, just go on duty AFTER pulling off the road. That keeps you from being in violation. Like Brandt said, go to the first safe place to park.

If I had been sitting in a truck for 7 hours I would probably walk in and assault someone. You'll feel better, they'll get the message and you won't ever have to worry about this trucking BS with all of it's rules anymore. Win win win.

When people ask these type of questions, it sure would help if they clearly stated do they want the legal answer, the real-life answer, or the company answer.Mooseontheloose, D.Tibbitt, roshea and 1 other person Thank this.

Lot of great replies and ideas to think of next time. I got lucky Nd they finally unloaded me with 12 mins left on clock. Then I Off duty drove 30 mins to terminal. I have been sent messages from company saying I had to log on duty at shipper or receiver and thats the only way I can get detention pay. I finally went Inside and asked if they forgot about me and why are they unloading trailers with no truck attached when I'm supposed to be live unload. They were literally so busy they forgot about me and clerk told them to stop and unload me. Wont ever go back there again, I can reject loads.

It was Kraft. Not much room at all to back In either. Place sucked. Maybe their workers ate too much mac and cheese and work too slow.
