I avoid sugars, so no fruit. My diet consists of boiled chicken, beef, beans, and a little bit of veggies. The best way to stay healthy, IMO, is to fast. Skip meals. Make your stomach smaller and get your body used to less food.
I usually fast at least 48 hours in a week. Do some research. It is healthy and can prolong your life.Intothesunset Thanks this. -
The sugar in fruit is not the same as refined sugar... it will never hurt you the way man made sugar will...
That's actually why we get hooked on candy bars and junk food, man made sugar is sweeter than natural sugar, which we crave, think how good oranges apples and strawberries are... but they're no match for candy...
Fasting can work as long as you don't binge during the eating hours. It's just another way of controlling how many calories you put through your mouth.Intothesunset and mhyn Thank this. -

Sugar from fruit flares my skin inflammation problems. Long story short, I have avoided sugar for the last 30 years. I do not crave it one bit. I drink black coffee and eat lots of protein and try my best to stay away from carbs unless they are in beans or seaweed (yes, seaweed). I'm an odd duck when it comes to food.Intothesunset and gokiddogo Thank this.

how about pork shops ? seasoned and grilled... I am not talking about shish kebab or back ribs done on mesquite wood..

Hard to overdo it on protein.
Having some kind of reaction changes it. I love me some oranges especially lol.... 1 or 2 a day. Way better than all the late night junk food I used to eat.

I've been eating as OP described for about 12 years. It's not hard at all, once you get used to it. At age 53, I have a total cholesterol of 130, which makes me heart attack proof. My weight is normal and my 23 year old girl friend thinks I'm really sexy (she just told me to write this in after I showed her this post). It is pretty cool to see truckers talking about making smart food choices. Thanks, OP, for championing Dr. Gregor.

The human body, like most omnivorous animals, prefers its animal protein to be as close to natural as possible. Rare beef is more easily digested than well done and your body gets more nutrients from it.Intothesunset Thanks this.
