Anyone ever dealt with them ? I rented out my trailer and just got a letter from them? Would rental agreement be good enough for them to bug off? Charges are sweet though. Averaging 1.6 a kilometer plus 50 bucks each video charge i guess for not having a transponder.

Holy smokes $50 for video charge? That's insane. Just send them the rental agreement and see what they say. My old company racked up $90k in 407 bills in 3 months. That's some real extortion highway.

They are a disaster to deal with! It is up to you to prove to them that it wasn't you. One time I had a NY plated car show up on my Canadian account, and told them it wasn't one of my vehicles. They wanted nothing to do with removing it, until I contacted the US company and had them fax off their information to 407. Just a nightmare. We went through thousands of dollars passed onto our customer because the 407 is the wonder highway apparently....no accidents, no snow, no ice, no backups, no delays. LOL!
Onemanshow Thanks this. -
Thats the same nightmare stories what I hear from my friends using it in cmv . to top it off this private company who owns 407 has full access to MTO database..

Used the 407 in a private vehicle everyday for months while I was there putting up windmills.
I called to find out what was owing and was told that she couldn’t tell me and that I should just go in and open an account.
I found out that because it is a private company that owns the toll, SGI (Sask plates) would not give them my info for billing.BigHossVolvo and uncleal13 Thank this. -
it might be wise to strap a transponder on the roof of a rental trailer and hold an extra $200 security- you'll be able to monitor the acct and stay on top of things
