I'm seeing a lot of newbie drivers doing this lately

If Im on the side of the road I exspect u to get over an I would do the same for u

 

I will run however fast I want to in my freightshaker dont be hating because your truck is slow we use to run 80 on 2 lanes in the 90s so get out of the way and let a real trucker by

 

Yeah, I was in IN coming up on a truck on the shoulder (of the same company). I could see the driver was sitting in the drivers seat looking in his mirror. There was a pack of 4-wheelers flying up to pass on my left side. I chose not to move over and just hug the zipper to avoid unnecessary conflict on the roadway. If I would have moved over you know they would most likely just whip around and pass on the right, not even paying attention to the truck on the shoulder but focused on me the "idiot truck driver" that got in their way. It isn't always safe to just move over without thinking or accessing the situation.

A few minutes later I received a message from the company explaining that I need to move over for people on the shoulder... The driver on the shoulder was a snitch that couldn't even see the bigger picture of what the situation was as a whole. I bit my tongue, it was probably a mistake to not reply to their de facto message.

He didn't break down in that last 50ft.
Much safer for EVERYONE to exit.

You have that all wrong. The driver is trying to help the tire truck find him. Since he would be off the highway, how would know where he is? You can’t expect the driver to remember the exit number.

So by your definition "real drivers" are actually just guys who have been driving a long time and folded their natural douchebag tendencies into their driving habits?

Were you a "real driver" the day you got your CDL? Were you a perfect "real driver" on day one? Or, more likely are you one of those 5'3" chubs who thinks your Pete makes you six feet tall, who crowds new drivers at every opportunity "just cuz you can" while talking #### on the CB but don't have the balls to talk it eyeball to eyeball?

That seems to be the most likely situation here.

Being a real driver doesn't mean being a douchebag...except, apparently, to you. I see a lot of so-called "real drivers" pulling up next to guys who are trying to get over and holding them in the lane "just cuz" of the name on the side of the truck.

Let's face it...it's a dick move, and it just shows a "real driver" like you is well...just a dick.
