My family doctor sign me off has having it under control after being on meds for 3 weeks . The dot Dr just dropped a bombshell on me. Nobody told me that dot requires a 3 month history with the medication I'm on so they won't pass my physical until I've been on it for 3 months. Idk what to do I'm screwed right now. Going to be terminated monday.

Not sure what to tell you. I know how you can get rid of type two diabetes, it's called a keto diet. Go to Letstruck.com there have been thousands of drivers who have done it. You don't have to live with it, if you're doctor is telling you any different fire him or her. Good Luck if you need help with this let me know.

Wonder when the 3 month rule started.
Maybe find a non-cdl driving job until this is resolved.
Some non-cdl driving jobs require a DOT physical and some don't.
    Try this one:
    Straight Truck Driver (Non-CDL)

Dedicated Logistics Partner, LLC – Allentown, PA

    $800 - $1000 per week

They are supposed to give you a 90 day physical so you can still work while you get it under control.

Keto diets work well for new diabetics. Just bare in mind that starting out that diet will make you feel weaker and more fatigued until your body adjusts to it. Or might have been just me.

Drive Uber for 3 months. There are dock jobs at LTL’s companies that make more money then OTR drivers all forklift. I know Saia dock guys make 18hr. XPO starts dock guys at 21hr.

Take meds. Get going hard core on keto. Exercise daily.

Keto eliminates all sugar from your diet. Carbs is sugar. Pizza and spaghetti pasta. Whole wheat bread. All sugar.

Why keto works tremendously for diabetics. If you want to keep trucking you have to sacrifice.

Why did you share that information with the DOT doc?
If they can't trace the meds in your system don't tell them about it.
Can you go to another DOT doc and try to pass or is your company requiring you to go to a specific place.
If so quit that job, go to another DOT doc, DON'T share medical condition and get your medical card back.
I don't think the doctors report to DMV, but I may be wrong as rules change.

There's no magic solution but the best thing to do is get a hold of your diet, take some pounds off, and being type 2 will go away

Doctors are required to check the Pharmacy State Board issued medications to anyone via social security number and name PRIOR to entering the exam room to see Patient for appt. That law was established last year. So no doctor will be unaware of Pt's medical history, particular as a defense against what the Patient will fail to disclose.

So when you go to your appt and end up waiting another 20 minutes that is what the doctor is doing. All states that dispense medicines anywhere are now required to enter your medicines to the PMB database under your name and social.

    Also.

Last month Pharmacists are now allowed by law to REFUSE to fill a medicine when they think the doses exceed 50 MME and too much affecting the patient trying to fill same.
