I almost always go home every 3 weeks and have no issues getting over 2500 miles/week, usually more. My weekly average for 2018 was almost 2900. I've been at top pay for a while now, so I don't think the cpm affects how you're treated. This last week was the first time all year I had a slow week, but rolling good again now.

If you live in East Texas and are a road warrior I know a gig for you. Gotta have hazmat. Pays $78,000/year. Super easy job hauling the crud they scrape off the bottom of refinery tanks. Only catch is you get 16 days off per year. Any more than that and that $78K drops proportionately per day.

I’d be happy with 50K+ a year just getting tired of staying out 5-8 weeks I get home and 2-3 days I’m gone money is good but I’m always on the road I might as well live on the truck I really don’t want to do that

Got a load Sunday night picking up in Fort Wayne heading Houston so I’m at my house getting ready to lay down for awhile on a reset

You would be better off resigning if your at .45 CPM then waiting 2/3 weeks when Crete calls you. You’ll get .51.
It’s advertised everywhere.
I do live in the truck. I try to make the best of it. But I don’t know what’s worse.... local bs or OTR.
I’ve done both.
With local, your nearly making ends meet and paying for rent.
With OTR, your living rent free if you don’t have a home.
I was thinking I’m just getting board of it. Maybe I’ll be a trainer somewhere or put my endorsements to work for 90-100K OTR.
I do like Crete, they are relaxed.
I just don’t know. My 10 hrs off are turning into 14 hrs off. I want time to pee, wash up and just relax. Maybe I’m getting burnt out. Maybe I need a vacation.... I was thinking of taking the next 6 months off and not work. I can easily do that without hurting my savings. Been considering it.
When I found OTR it was new and exciting. I feel like I mastered it. Got driver of the month and so on.
Let me know what you guys think. I’m sure you all been in my situation. Feeling lost. Unsure. -
There should be a truckers retreat where truckers can go and take a few months off. Fish, hike, quad around, boating. A few girls there would be cool too.
Am really thinking about doing OTR only 7/8 months a year. Why not? Life is too short to live in a truckstop. Just me rambling.
Maybe I’m bipolar.... lol -
I pulled over. Going to let the week finish out so I’m not next.
It’s sad.jethro712 Thanks this.
