He should have had a camera fitted. I wouldn't get in the car as an Uber driver without an external and internal camera.

Lumper Humper and PE_T Thank this. -
How difficult is this?
If someone says that you hit them, get out and start snapping pics. First pic is of their tag. Then call the cops. And then walk back up behind the car 1000 ft and take a picture of the car and truck. I had a woman say I rolled backwards and hit her car and I was at a light aimed downhill.
“But Six, what if the car leaves?”
Irrelevant. You are officially covering your arse. Now that arseclown Uber driver can claim that you hit him and left the scene. I thought they’d usually talk you guys through this in orientation.
The biggest reason why there are so many ambulance chasing scumbag lawyers is because so many of you are don’t put forth any effort in defending yourselves against fraudulent claims. You guys are too easy. -
He has a BIG radio too.shogun and PoleCrusher Thank this.

I'd make the arguement that he rear ended your trailer.
Lumper Humper, PE_T, TripleSix and 1 other person Thank this. -
Get the police report to CYA. Now the Uber is the one that left the scene. He has a witness, that doesn't help you. You said you rolled back, so you may very well have hit him.
But you are starting to make a mountain out of a mole hill.
Approach it very matter of fact. -

I ordered an Uber and this guy showed up. Coincidence?
OP, get an attorney.PoleCrusher Thanks this. -
I was making my way through town on my way home one day. There's a 4-way stop, and traffic following the state highway makes a left. I'm patiently making my way towards the intersection in a line of vehicles making that left when this little silver car decided he'd line-jump, staying in the clear straight/right lane rather than wait his turn in the backed up left turn lane. He started encroaching into my lane, and my bumper removed his driver's side mirror as I kept moving forward with the car ahead of me.
He wanted to "exchange info" so MY insurance would pay for his stupidity. I told him I wasn't giving him a #### thing, that we'll get the cops out there to issue HIM tickets for improper lane use and failure to yield, and I'd be more than happy to give THEM my info for the police report. I pulled out my phone and started calling the chief of police (his mom was my neighbor) and about the time his phone started ringing, numbnuts decided he didn't want to deal with the police and left. I spoke to the chief about it when he picked up, and he asked if my truck was damaged. Nope. Then don't worry about it. And I haven't. If the other guy turned around and reported a "hit and run" with my company/truck number, I had a pretty reliable witness that I HAD stopped, that I HAD reported it, and that I WASN'T the one who left the scene. CYA.rank, PoleCrusher, Hammer166 and 2 others Thank this. -
That’s what I was going to say.Lumper Humper and PoleCrusher Thank this.
