So much wrong in that clip on both sides. But I don't think the cammer wants to make an issue of it, because then he'd have to explain why he was up against his governor trying (and failing) to pass in a 45mph zone. Completely unnecessary.
That 'gotta be first' mentality plays a big part in how unsafe things are out here.

But it doesn't really matter IMO. The truck in the right lane had absolutely no excuse for changing lanes when he did. There's no sign that says Merge Now Even If It Means Hitting Someone.Last edited: May 15, 2019

The signage shows left lane ending..but it is the right lane that ends up ending. Still no excuse for not backing out of it by either party.
WesternPlains, booley and OldeSkool Thank this. -
I do know you can't merge left into space occupied by another vehicle. Whatever else anyone may have been doing wrong before the collision, the collision was caused by that action by the guy on the right. Who then took off, let's not forget. HE hit, HE ran.Texas Rebel and Grumppy Thank this. -
This was definetely PREVENTABLE
I'd love to hear what the guy in the other truck is saying..."WTF is this guy doing?!?!"windsmith, tinytim, Rubber duck kw and 1 other person Thank this. -
I agree fault but on all three sides.
I’ve gotten to where I don’t even like another truck sitting next to me. Out in the open road even. Even a car. Just don’t like it.
I’ll approach with my blinker on. Nobody let me in? I just slow down. I’ll stop in the freeway if I have to. That’s how all those jam ups in traffic happening. People not letting others merge.booley Thanks this.
