Thanx spanky I'm suppose to go to ohio on june 1st to start and i;m trying to get more info on the company all the info so far has been good. this is all new to me i worked for andersen windows for 10 years and got laid off! I've herd alot of horror stories, millis seem's to be one company with very few bad and more good!!! I know it's a life style change and that's something i;m willing to do i just want to be given a fair chance to succed! In other word's a company that work's with you not against you
-
why are you going to ohio for training ? you live in wisconsin right ? are the training dates in wisconsin pushed that far out, that you have to do your training in ohio ? -
I was told that because of the fact that drivers are not leaving the company and that the economy is not doing so good that more than likely the only training school there going to book is the ohio one. I asked to go to the wisc one but mike millis said they are not sending anyone there probly for the rest of the year! He said he want's to keep every driver busy so they refuse to over hire and make student's as well as current drivers sit. A driver making money is a happy driver!!!! So that's fine with me if i have to go to ohio i'm just thankfull that i got in whith what seem's to be a decent company...

Wow Millis does not want you to sit.. Thats funny that all i do over here is sit on a list
-
I noticed that you have 19 years experience.DO you think that could be the reason that you sit when the newbies do not?
Yeah there is some sarcasm there but I feel as if you understand why.
From what I read and if my comprehension level allows,it is as if the companies that do train a driver will do that to an older experienced driver.JUST AN OBSERVATION and not being argumentative.
Here's to you not sitting much or that you decide to train and never sleep well again. -
Recent Millis Grads,
My place of employment which is auto parts mfg related, has just offered incentives to entice 65 - 68 associates to take a severance package or voluntary lay-off's. We have till May 4th to cash in on this deal! Are Millis grads out of Trenton, Ohio getting their own trucks and working. SwissChris, are you finished with your trainer yet and do you have a truck yet? Also the last time I checked with Millis they were booking the June class, does anybody know if its full yet? Feed back would be greatly appreciate do to the time limits on this offer.
