Well as it says, I brought a 01 Western Star with a 6NZ and the guy lied about the motor. Said it needs injector and it washed cylinder 1 out. Well come to find out after I purchased the truck, cylinder 1 rod bearing is spun. Guess i need a new crank. Trying to figure out what to do next! Where do I start? Where do I order parts? Any advice would be good.
Brought a lemon

What’s the rest of the truck like? What are you doing with it? And
What’s your funding like? Going to a bank or are you still using savings? There are some cheap parts out there and they’ll work if this is “used twice a year for harvest truck” but there maybe better deals across the country for OEM parts.
Give us some more -
The truck is in good shape. Just had the Transmission rebuilt and had new clutch installed. Also has both rears rebuilt within 7 to 8 months. Also has a new head on the motor from caterpillar. Once I talk to the original owner of the truck he told me that all this stuff was done last year. And I have receipts for a lot of stuff done. The original owners said just had a inframe done that’s why has a new head on it with a marine cam in it, marine injectors and there’s an Borg and Warner turbo. I was hoping to run the truck with a dump trailer. I don’t have too much funding, because I spent a lot of my savings in getting the truck. But I want to make the truck roadworthy. I originally was driving dump truck, but I wanted to get out of it because I needed more leg room.

Not going to suger coat it........ your looking at a replacement engine or bare minimum yours has to be out of framed with new crank.
It will be cheaper to find a good used runner and re@re . Or spend the big money and go through yours then you know what you have.. either way it's a bunch more time and $$$$$ , welcome to trucking.BoxCarKidd, Dino soar, rabbiporkchop and 3 others Thank this. -
