Air Horn gestures from little Kids (Keep tradition alive)

Once in some small podunk town in PA, I don't remember where, I was cruising along and saw an old lady seemingly having a stroke or something, and felt bad, when I realized she was making the hooking signal. Honked the horn, she clapped at me, made both our days!

 

The air horn probably revived her from the stroke she was having.
#truckers saving lives!!!!

 

I replaced mine with a trumpet. Now it sounds like I’m on bourbon street every time I give her a toot. I go down to NOLA on the weekends and play in an all truck jazz band.

 

As I upgraded things through the years on my tenure running bus freight, I upgraded to a 8V92TTA DDEC2. Is started life as just a 475 8v92 silver, but once I added the pusher axle so a could scale more weight (serious increases of illegals outta Mexico paid by the hundred weight) I definitely needed the extra power. That's also when I added the aux box. Ended up around 782 hp to the ground last time we had it on the dyno. Average mpg was around 5 the last IFTA report I had.

Tune was done by a guy named Stever Earl, no seriously. No relation to the singer, I dont think.

Won't do it in traffic, but I have been known to make a kid's day once in a while. Truly is amazing how much a quick "toot toot" can do for a youngling's day

I do it for kids everytime.

You guys don’t know this. But even if you are fat and grumpy, there’s a kid out there that will look at you and your big rig, and will think that you are a hero.
