Best U.S. beach towns to retire to

I'm surprised to see so many here speaking highly of the Philippines as a travel choice. Maybe it's just me but i prefer to visit places where i don't have to worry about a high risk of infectious disease, kidnapping of westerners by pirates, Islamic terrorist (over 600 attacks annually) and a police force so corrupt it makes the kgb look like a model of justice.

 

Not mistaking anything. Everything i said is supported by facts easily verified.

 

It is true that there are areas of the Philippines that are unsafe. There are also a hell of a lot of places in the us that my white behind ain’t about to go to either though.

As with anywhere. You just have to pay attention to your surroundings and know what areas are generally safe.

 

Chitown doesn’t have issues with Islamic extremists. Just too many gangs fighting over turf(the city literally has as many gangs as it does zip codes and area codes).
Remember the “good ole days” when in Chicago the El Rukns ran all the dark ponies in the city???

 

We go to Charleston all the time only like 3 hours away. The Port is growing fast.

 

Wow , what's the best time of year to book. I flew to Germany from Atlanta round trip and it was only 750..just have to book way ahead of time

 

October though February are the best months to visit. But be warned it’s crazy there and the flights get expensive around Christmas. They go all out for Christmas too. The decorations start going up after All Souls’ Day (Halloween for us). My favorite month there is November. It didn’t rain on me once last year there and it’s a little less hot than some other months.

 

Many islands...no need to visit the Muslim ones. As for the police just stay away from the shabu and you'll have nothing to fear from them.
