So what I’ve heard through my time sitting here in Cory is that updating your Nat knocks you to the back of the line for loads. The way it was explained to me was that say you finish your day at 2100 and your eta is updated for that time guy you only have 2 hours left. Me I like to update when I wake up to show I’m available with a full clock. Well I was told that doing that knocks you to the back and it’s better to just leave it. That still doesn’t stop them from saying “there’s no work” or they’re working on it... From what I’m hearing from the otr’s it’s like this everywhere. This week is understandable cause of the holiday but they said it was supposed to pick up during the holidays

That hazmat call is a waste of time. It takes forever to get through. I usually run the load and call my dbl and tell them that it was time sensitive and if i waited on hold any longer i would be late for my appointment time

Very ambitious... I know the hazmat rules but I ain’t risking it for my current salary. Especially on a training pay load.
I’ve already had a class 9 3257 hot and got the regular class 9 from the shipper and had to put up all new placards. It takes time but it’s their system. And Schneider loves rules

This o e of the most frustrating things with large carriers. I dont understand why they sit trucks. If theres no work where the trucks are, deadhead your trucks to where there is work. Then they pay crap for sitting.

    "But you arent working"

If I'm in YOUR truck and not MY home, then I'm working.

I'm confused. You pick up the trailer at quala, then go to quick trip , then the other place, then back to quick trip then drop the trailer back at the OC? What will that pay you?

Yea that looks too fun for me that’s gonna eat up a good chunk of the day and it’s a relay.. idk why they feel that’s acceptable for anybody but local guys. All that for 40$??? Short haul + Live load?

$0 for the miles since the assignment pays zero.
    $15 for shorthaul
$25 live load + Detention if if goes over 2 hours
    ^For regional/Otr
Local gets hourly pay on top of that.

Would be even more exciting if it was hazmat lol

Gotta scale at the quicktrips, yea this is no money at all I would make more if I just sit and get a layover and it’s probably gonna take 6-7 hours
