Used to be like that in the old days. My rig was leased to PIE,CF,TIME DC,other union carriers, back in the day. All pretty much the same. Tractor got roughly 40%,trailer got 10%,together,that was the truck check. Driver pay was on a separate check, roughly 25%. Last 25% to the carrier. Pretty much every carrier back then was on, or close to a 75/25 percentage lease. Driver was an employee of the company, got teamster benefits, and even gained senority.
p608, jamespmack and roshea Thank this. -
I’m a bit confused... you are in a Leased/Purchase Thread (Leasing a Truck through a Company) but wanting to discuss leasing your truck (assumed owned) on to a Company...
Maybe I’m missing something.jamespmack Thanks this. -

Guys will laugh, but it was way better,in every way back then.p608, jamespmack, exhausted379 and 1 other person Thank this.

Not that way any more because 25% was not enough for the greedy companies. Also a ignorant crooked individual I will refer to as Jr let some companies get away with too much.
faux_maestro, jamespmack and DougA Thank this. -
