Newbie looking to buy flatbed, What to look for?

    Do you know where that goes? It goes to a landfill on the side of a mountain. And they push it off with heavy equipment. Go out on the LIE by Ronkonkoma and look at the areas where all the trash haulers park. Have you ever seen a nice truck hauling bales?

    Yes I have seen lots of nice trucks haul bales or at least used to till the non English speaking crowd beat the rate down.

    The rates on that stuff had always sucked. They were bottom of the barrel rates before the first white Volvo existed.

    The rates of garbage are better then a lot of the rates leaving nyc dryvan. Nyc out bound sucks. You might get kick here and there but, I’m looking for consistency

    Yeah I see a lot of nice trucks hauling garbage out. And I’ve also been the the yard my self. Lowellville oh one. But garbage is just a default pin any way. It’s there just incase

    Have you been there after a day or 2 or week of rain?

    It is pretty consistent but you will be competing with the rail road now as well.

    Any body can tell me the disadvantage of have a 53ft. See a nice one, coil package, dunnage rack, was tool box. Just that it’s 53ft

    Will I be able to maneuver around just fine with a spread axle 53ft

    Not really any different than a 48. Install a dump valve on that rear alle for turns and backing.
