I truly believe it is how you feel about driving. It Is a personal choice . If you feel it is just a job , then it is. If you feel that it is a profession that you should be proud, then ...

If these companies used Allison this problem wouldn't exist.

    You laugh.

I used to have to get out of my 40 ton 18 wheeler on a friday to go home in a tiny little car. I ended up buying a older 70's boat to ease some of that problem of 40 ton hands on a 1 ton car.

I have been told that you are suppose to turn off "Hill Start Assist" when backing and it helps with clutch overheating.

No......not all the time, only when parking.
Two big things, the headlights and wiper controls on my pickup are opposite the truck, so sometimes I can’t figure out why the lights are on and the wipers aren’t workin.

Sometimes I get in the right lane and occasionally go into the scale.

It really is a struggle to get over 7.5mpg avg all loaded miles with a flatbed and get where you're trying to go. So I compromised with the truck and with idling all night we decided 7.3mpg was good enough.

The Endurant 12 speed is a fantastic transmission. I hated the Eaton’s.

Put it in R and it’ll maintain 2mph. Just use the brake for finesse. Forward it drives like a car.

And I’m not even a fan of autos but credit where it’s due.

I have unfortunately been assigned a Cascadia with a Cummins x15 efficiency paired with 10speed automatic Eaton smart shift. This has been the most irritating thing I ever have driven. It’s so slow taking off it’s utterly unsafe as far as crossing intersections or pulling into a street from a business. It shifts very clanky into certain gears. It will bog itself down to 1000 rpms before it will downshift into 9th. Fortunately I can manually shift it but that totally defeats the purpose of it being an auto. I enjoy shifting and in my opinion these automatics are lousy and useless. I have driven Volvo’s with Ishift as well and I very much dislike those as well.
