Dont know. I could drop a 427 in a pickup and not worry about traction. The 305 was a real dog, BTW. I have no idea why Chevy even wasted time with it, as the 350 had more HP and the same
gas mileage too. -
The 454 ss were also shortbread trucks making the weight more centered t look the cab. The long box has the weight more spread out.slim shady Thanks this.

To my way of thinking, the long bed should have a little more weight on the rear tires. There is a couple extra feet of frame, bed, etc on a long bed. And it's all behind the cab. Only way to really know for sure would be to compare them on the same scale.
IMO, you're over thinking it. Drop that motor in and drive it. If you come upon an issue, then drop a quarter inch steel plate in the bed. -
I'd rather stuff a 350 into a prius...

Well I thought I would get some helpful advice turns out its just a bunch a #### boys trying to dickheads. Everyone can #### off except for RustyBolt. Hes the only one that actually gave me some decent advice.
