Broker emailed and offered a load from Blythe, CA to Arvin, CA. $600 for 330 miles. They need 53 or 48 dry van only. Look at the load info:

***LOOSE LOAD OF GYPSUM THAT IS FLOOR LOADED ON SCALES AT THE MINE. LOAD TIME LESS THAN 30 MINUTES**

**TRAILER IS TILTED TO DUMP LOOSE MATERIAL FROM TRAILER AND FREE WASH OUT PROVIDED** UNLOAD TIME LESS THAN 30 MINUTES.

I will be in Blythe and Arvin is 60 miles from my parking. I worry that gypsum will stay in floor and wall gaps.

No gypsum is the main ingredient for alot of fertilizer and is very corrosive and will rust you trailer if not careful

Not going to just deliver it and find another load right away. Even if it was in super sacks it's going to leave a mess...

Is it worth turning around (DH) to pick up another and do it again? I think they are just looking for someone to do it cheaper than a "local on a budget".

    mhyn Thanks this.

    The rate seems pretty bad.
