Sounds like Florida. Get your money going in because if is hard to find any coming out.
mhyn Thanks this. -
No. I don't want to have that #### in my trailer. I better drive to LA empty. I have 5 year old nice food grade trailer.

Google Standard Mine, Blythe, CA and click on satellite map. Looks like this place is on top of mountain. Open mine.

The more successful companies I worked with would get their rate going in. If they found something good coming out fine. Normally they tucked tail and dead headed.
Some others would haul stuff like scrap paper for cheap. Their time was tied up. The trailers were beat up.
Would say things like at least that pays for the fuel that is better than air. Many of those are gone like Builders Transport, Burlington Motor Carriers and Shuttle Express.
Shippers and brokers do not care. Someone else will take there place. -
I used to haul out of that mine with a walking floor. It is about 30 miles northwest of Blythe. The last 15 miles is a rough gravel road, then mine is a dirty dusty mess. Used to see a lot of reefers and vans loading there.
mhyn Thanks this. -
No way.
I hauled it once before in open top water tight container crates and it was a mess. It took me a month to clean up the mess. When they dropped the container, the dust that it create didn't clear up for more than five minutes and I had ten of those containers on board.
If they want it moved. It has to be in an open top trailer like an end dump. -

as bad as hauling carbon black..if it paid about twenty-five hundred bucks I consider it cuz you lose almost half the revenue cleaned in that trailer for any customer.. good luck trying to find anything else to haul if you're a long-haul person looking for some kind of backhaul topay fuel should have had a better rate going in.
when I own my own trucks that's what I'd do when I went to Florida. I never sat around waiting for some heavy water load or some kind of crappy low-paying freight I leave enough fuel to go 600 miles up to Atlanta if I needed too.
but just getting a good rate down..
did you ever haul gypsum before? you're in for a real rude awakening sometimes it's better just to suck it up and just bounce somewhere 300 miles.
that kind of money sounds enticing until you realize how much you're going to spend in the long run clean the trailer
