Wow! You Sir are a clean-a-phobe Jedi Master! (kneels)

I'd do an 8 week training stint with you in a heart beat,

    Much respect.

8 weeks would be too much. You would get what you need to out of me and be on your way when it's time. But not before. I don't think I have much to offer. Im not much of a trainer. Ive had very old time trainers in my day and today people would consider that abuse. Even though my wife was the most challenging of students. I thought I was going to tell her off a few times. But breathed a moment and tried to remember our marriage.

its not that. Old time trucking problems involving physics and pending collisions and dreams. It's best I sleep in a hotel. Ha...

I recently trained a guy that had some awful swelling on his toe. I don't know how I escape so much illness but it happens to other guys all around me.

I tell them to eat more vegetables and take a multivitamin daily but they do not listen to me. They just eat pretzels and drink Dr. Pepper.

I made that mistake once. Never again.
Lamisil pills are expensive and most insurance won't cover them.

One of the largest problems drivers face is some form of a food issue. I remember once eating at a place on I 45 about halfway between Dallas and Houston. Stayed sick for several days.

I have watched people go to the men's room and drop a deuce not wash their hands then go handle the serving utensils on a buffet. I once saw a guy lick cake icing off a knife then place the knife back. I have seen workers spit in food. Think about this next time you give a server a hard time. I once watched a guy develop a nose bleed while sitting at a Petro in Arizona. Used several paper towels until finally getting up and going to the bathroom. Got blood all over the counter. All the server done was just smear the blood with an overused cleaning rag. It took me telling the food manager I was going to call the health dept if that counter was not properly cleaned and sanitized to get it done. Blood pathogens are horrid. If that guy by some chance had HIV and a later person had an open cut you might get a transfer. The list goes on and on. Not too long ago I got one of the bugs going around here. Dang thing put me in bed. I would not let anybody come to my apartment during and until I sprayed Lysol and disinfected my apartment. I am constantly shocked at how people are laissez-faire when it comes to cleaning up biohazards in these places

I bring up this food issue because it is not that easy sometimes to see these things. The other stuff, lot lizards and using shower shoes are different.

I have always had a rather strong defense in my immunity because of growing up in Baltimore City. One summer they sent me to a sort of school in Mt Washington Heights area and no notice to me until a 1 hour before bus showed up. Whatever that was. Turned out to be a dusty forest with a 1850's compound modernized with a swimming pool filled with bodies of all races, predominately black (Not a problem in those days) just a matter of proximity to McDougnah School Downtown which was essentially the end all beall of one mega school.

I ended up using the forest as a play time. No staff cared about anything. Playmates were few so I made my own time. I was eventually collected like a "Linus" from Charlie Brown and shipped home. and they were told I was not welcome back. It was a utterly failed day. That was supposed to have been some form of education wrapped in arts, crafts and other activities that consume the budget very cheaply to serve rooms with masses of kids. When you see a warehouse with 100 kids going through little water color kits with mounds of paper.. that dumpster fills quick. Not my style. I already was assembling with dad's help model kits with some success which led to a hobby in which I essentially assembled pretty much the entire ground force of ww2 back home. There was about 200 models more or less still rotting on the table there. I should do something with them. But that was 40 years ago.

Anyway. Back to hygiene. I get home looking like linus. So out comes the soap, rag and towel and I got cleaned up pronto. Properly. Repeated episodes of that. I can only imagine hundreds of kids not cleaned up. Much. One day I'll take a look into whatever possessed my Pa to send me that day. I suspect that year I was not too interested in school enforced activites showing independance so that was probably what it was. Independance was verboten in schools back then.
