I was wondering if anyone knew of any Tanker companies that hire new drivers out of the San Antonio area? I really would like to pursue tanker from the start of my career but I'm having trouble finding a company. I have applied with Coastal Transport, they stated they had a waiting list for new drivers due to a limited amount off trainers here at the SA location. I also applied for SVTN but they're out of Corpus, the young lady in HR advised me that the two hour commute one way usually ends up being a problem for new drivers.

    Try these:
Gemini Transport - hauls diesel and DEF for Love's Truck Stops
    Western Dairy Transport - www.wdtmilk.com
    Trimac Transportation

Can confirm for SVTN for Corpus. The commute isn't that bad if you spend a few weeks on the road. I live in SA and drive for them however I never go home, which is my choice.

Good luck with the job search.

I'm thinking of doing something similar. How long have you been with them. Are you running all 48? What kinda of paychecks are you bringing home after being out for a few weeks at a time.
