i see you never got a taste of them. i got a over lenght ticket on the east bound side. took me 6 weeks to pay it.
-
Every week.
-
No, I have not. I’m hearing some pretty bad things though. You got a pretty big ticket then huh?
-
Really? They must not have cameras then if you haven’t gotten a ticket. I was just sweating it. Lol! I always see trucks just run past them though. I just started passing through there, so I really don’t know anything about the scales.Bakerman Thanks this.

Depends totally on circumstances what happens. It has been a few years since I was through Banning, but I remember the scales being right next to I-10 and the road clearly visible. Most weighmasters in these scales are sitting high. If a weighmaster is writing an overweight citation or otherwise busy you are in luck. Because that scale (at least at one time had) has prepass I doubt the inspectors outworking will bother with you. Completely and totally a luck of the draw.

$260 something

Doesn’t the westbound banning scale have a sign that says “bypass scales when full to this point”...or something to that effect? Another driver told me ‘the scales are always full as far as I’m concerned’ lol.

I have never seen that post on there. It’s either Open or Closed all those years that I’ve been trucking (1979).
-
I’m almost sure it does. I know I’ve seen it, but been greenlighted through there for the past year. But it’s a white sign, like speed limit sign size, and it was sitting there about 20 trucks deep, leaving space for 5 or 6 more trucks on the ramp before they would be out in the travel lane.
Somebody go by there and snap a pic of it and confirm my suspicions!
*please have bikini clad lady holding said sign.
