Hey Trooper to Trucker so what was it about Averitt that you didn’t like. I was under the impression that they were a good company to work for. I was seriously and I mean seriously thinking about trying to get hired on with them. That’s why I am here though to find out the truth about these companies. I am in the Memphis area. Was trying to get hired on there.

 

Which terminal were you working out of?

 

I worked out of Charlotte if you go back on my post I did a long write up. On my phone so not gonna type all that out again right now.

 

Though here is a bit. On one of the trailers the landing gear hung up and I tore shoulder muscles. They really screwed me over about it. But there is more.

 

Yes I am new and I am literally trying to read every post on this site we new guys can’t tell you guys enough how much we appreciate you guys sharing with us and trying to help out it truly makes me want to help the next guy a lot of us are struggling out here and basically trying to find ourselves as far as careers thank you

 

But you can also notice that @Chinatown doesn’t recommend them as well.

 

Nothing's wrong with Averitt, more than any other major fleet out there. You trying to get your feet in tucking, you should go for it. If you don't like it after a year change to a different one, it'll still count towards experience. Better with Averitt, you get to learn the ups and downs, this way the next company you will be more prepared to stay. The other way around is bad. Work for a good one, don't like it, leave and then regret it!!

 

Why? I work for Averitt, running local, and have absolutely no complaints. Did you run over the road? Local is kind of like our own little bubble, don't have any idea what goes on outside of Houston...

 

I was regional out of Charlotte but glad it didn’t pan out now. My business is running really good and I make almost triple than what did there and love what I do now.
